writes:why would a guy make a half-hearted attempt at sex? very confused by my bf today. he is doing 12 hour night shifts, got into bed with me this morning when he got home, we kissed and fell asleep. 3 hours later, he wakes me up as he's touching my breasts, tells me he's been dreaming about us. We were both kinda sleepy but he started having sexual intercourse with me for a few minutes, which i enjoyed! Then he just stopped, neither of us were anywhere close to orgasm, and pulled me close to him and fell asleep again. wtf? It's never happened b4, and i guess he was too tired to keep going, but what did he get out of it? confused! And feeling a little rejected!

Don't be too hard on him, the poor guy is tired beyond belief and still wants you, he is willing to drain his very last drop of energy to express his desire for you. If you look at it that way, maybe it will make some sense to you.
I once woke up to find myself banging my girlfriend, she was on top. I wonder if she was sleep-f))king too. We never discussed it.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 January 2012): OP have ever woken up later in a day and realized your mother woke you up that morning to do something but you were still half asleep and can't for the life you remember what that is because while you responded to her and said you would you weren't actually awake? Seems like he was in that kind of state of half sleep when you had sex.
12 hour shifts is wonderful at wearing out your body and mind. There is no deeper significance here other than he woke up a bit, was still half asleep, was most likely having sexy dream about you when he woke and managed to muster the energy to start having sex, his brain the probably shut down half way through and he fell back to sleep.
Sounds to me like he was sleep-shagging, like sleep-walking but with obvious differences.
Ask him about it sure and tell him he owes you a proper seeing to after working you up like that and not finishing you off.
