writes: My boyfriend is jealous of one my best guy friends and I. I mean, I can understand to an extent but he just kinda mad me angry/sad/idefk. We were all in a group talking and I was giving him shit for not texting me the past few days, only jokingly of course, and I'm like,"Yea, I talk to (guy friend) more then I talk to you!" Haha, laugh laugh, and he replies all serious and pissed off,"Why don't you date him then?" It just drives me insane that he actually thinks I could like anyone but him, because I like him so very much it drives me insane. I simply don't get guys and jealousy. My main question is, why do guys get so jealous? Even when you explain you are just friends?

More importantly - I want you to consider reversing the situation. What if you were all in a group and the same exchange went on with your bf and another girl. He is giving you shit for not texting him and then says that he has more texting contact with his gal pal than you. Make a mental video of what this would look and sound like and play it in your head. This should give you the answer you are looking for.

Not all of us do. Your boyfriend is just insecure. Give him the reassurance he needs, but don't be treated this way. Not all men are like this at all.
