Hi,

well my question is a bit stupid but its something I really wander about.

What is an orgasm?

When me and my bf are making out and doing stuff he says "Oh I'll try and make you orgasm" But the thing is I dont actually know what it is!

Do you have to cum to get one?

Can boys have them to?

Please answer my question with your explanations of what it is

thanks

A female reader, Maryann33 Canada +, writes (14 May 2009):

Orgasm is when the blood from your brain flows to your vagina. When this happens you usually feel very dissy. Sometimes you will pass out. But thank god not too many women get orgasm. Otherwise the men would want to take advantage of you when you are passed out. The first time when this happens you won't even realize this since you would have already passed out and when you wake up you will have no recollection of what happened.

Hi!,

I just wanted to clear up some facts for you because I know your probably a little confused.

What everybody here has said is true and I won't deny, and it is also true that when a man has an orgasm, he does ejackulate a fluid known as semen in which does contain sperm.

But when a woman orgasms, what is happening is something quite different. First off, realize that you have a vagina that leads to what's called your cervix. Your cervix can be thought of as an opening that leads to your uterus, and thus your womb. When you orgasm, the contractions are basically opening up your cervix so that sperm can go fertalize your egg. By Nature's wisdom,, ideally, your man will have an orgasm basically when you have yours, and thus your chances of becoming pregnant are at it's highest. This also assumse that your man is at a point of deep penetration thus the tip of his penis is basically up against/pointed and ejackulating right through your opened up cerix.

Your orgasm will come to you provided some things are in place, 1. You truly want to engage in this type of activity (you need to be emotionally involved/engaged) 2.The man that your with has your best intrests at heart, and is not just "doing" you. Please! always practice safe sex and I have no clue as the the legal ramifications, so I would make sure your doing anything that would get you in trouble with the law. Take Care and enjoy your life!

Your question is NOT stupid and I admire your courage for asking it.

"Orgasm" is a technical term for what happens in a person's body at the very height of sexual stimulation. It is also called a "climax", and a wide variety of slang terms such as "cumming" (derived from "coming to climax"), "popping", "getting a nut", etc, etc. Most people say it is the most intense, pleasurable, physical sensation they ever experience.

Both guys and girls have orgasms. For guys, an orgasm almost always includes releasing sperm and semen from his penis (a process called "ejaculation"). A few women also release some fluid, but this isn't common.

There seems to be a wide range of how people experience orgasm. One common factor among all people is a sudden release of tension throughout the whole body. In that respect it has been compared to a sneeze, though I'd say there's a LOT of difference! Many people are aware of muscle spasms or contractions (not at all unpleasant!) especially in the abdomen and pelvis but often throughout the body. Many women have a strong feeling as if they are about to urinate just before orgasm begins. As orgasm ends, most people experience a period of general pleasure and contentment - perhaps described as euphoria, a "floating" sensation, lethargy, urge to cuddle or sleep, etc.

Your boyfriend probably discovered his orgasm in his early teens, as most guys do. Some girls also have orgasms at your age, but many don't experience it until they are much older. There's nothing wrong with that.

Some women learn by themselves (like boys do) by touching and stimulating themselves, especially around their genital areas. This is called "masturbation". A person's religion, culture, or family values may prohibit this. For others this is a very personal and private activity they use for its own pleasure, to relax before sleep, to relieve menstrual cramps, etc. It can also be a useful thing to know for their adult lovemaking.

For other women, learning to orgasm is a very special learning experience they share with a partner they care deeply for. They discover, with their boyfriend's help, the right combination of kissing, fingering, oral sex, pressure on the genital area, etc that stimulates their orgasm. Some couples use this, very effectively, as a substitute for penetrative sex. One of the most satisfying and memorable events in my life was the time I helped my wife to her very first orgasm. It happened about 6 months before we were married, we were both 22 years old, and the event is as significant (to me) as our wedding night when we took each other's virginity.

One thing you can count on: You WILL know when it happens! Whether you try to make it happen, or let it happen on its own, or keep it as a personal activity, or involve a partner, are questions only you can answer.

i am reading these answers and thinking i dont think anyone has actually expalined anything to you, so here goes. . . a woman/girl may or may secrete fluid when she 'cums' thats not really important it is neither right or wrong, intense stimulation of the clitoris is what stimulates an orgasm some women need direct contact for this to happen some can adjust the sexual position in order for the stimulation therefore having an orgasm from being penetrated alone, and some women may find it all too sensitive and prefer instead to be touched gently on top of clothing, there is no question when we are turned on we get wet and a bit wriggly as we adjust the position of intensity but at the point of orgasm the inside of the vagina feels as though it is being pulled up from the inside the contractions we feel make it feel very tight repeatedly in quick succession, therefore squeezing his penis and giving him the feeling of being gripped tighter, the intensity can vary a lot from being stimulated and penetrated at the same time to being sucked or maybe even just squeezing your legs together can do the trick, if you are in any doubt at all get your electric toothbrush on the job you'll be left in no doubt just make sure you keep it there for long enough to get the result. tips for those guys who dont already know while your thrusting get your hand down there too on the little man in his boat and gently tease this . . . works every time

Anonymous is right that it is illegal to have sex at your age, and especially if you are only thirteen, you and your boyf could be reported to the police or social services. There's not a definite age of consent for petting and you won't get into trouble for that provided it is consensual. It may just be that your body isn't mature enough yet for you to have orgasms very easily. You will know when you have one because of the sense of release - it's also more likely to happen first when you are experimenting with yourself rather than a partner.

In easy terms, if he stimulates your clit

You'll pretty much have an orgasm, which is like a guy cumming, but female version.

You'll know when you have one, as it's pretty amazing!

Good luck!

A reader, anonymous, writes (7 August 2008):

When the Good Lord or whoever it was designed our bodies, he did so in the hope that there would be more people on Earth than just Adam and Eve. The way forward was by reproduction by way of having sex, which the creator thought he or she would make a rather enjoyable experience that the human race would want to repeat as often as possible, so he or she designed the orgasm.

For a man, the orgasm is the point at which he 'cums'. His nostrils flare open, his heartbeat increases, he breathes very heavily, his body twitches and by thrusting his hips he inserts his penis into his partners vagina as far as it will go. At the same time there's a twitching sensation at tip of the penis, it starts to twitch and some muscle or other in his groin area starts to pump out semen for about 20 seconds or so, thereby transferring sperm into the woman's body. The pumping sensation is extremely pleasant, ecstatic even, and the great creator decided that was the best way to make him want to do it again. And boy! do we want to do it again!

I'll leave it up to the ladies to describe the female orgasm as I've never had one myself.

A female reader, O Connor Ireland +, writes (7 August 2008):

O Connor agony auntHi sweetie well the dictionary definition of an orgasm goes as follows:

a climax of sexual excitement, characterized by feelings of pleasure centered in the genitals and (in men) experienced as an accompaniment to ejaculation.

Both men and women can get orgasms, although men generally get them alot more easily then women. an orgasm for a woman will last longer and alot of the time can be more intense.

Orgasm and cumming go hand in hand. however, girls can orgasm without anything coming out, unlike guys.

as for your boyf trying to make you orgasm...he is a long way off and needs to know there is more involved then making out!

if you have any more questions that you wanna ask or just want more info feel free to email me.
