 Find a way to seem him so it looks accidental. Where does he go? What times are you most likely to see him? So be there when he is there.
If you know someone who knows him then ask about him. Trust me, word will get back to him that you are asking about him.
And make sure that you take extra special care of your appearance as you never know when you might see him one day when you least expect it.
