writes:My Fiance and i are Christians,She visited me and was too late for her to go back,she had to spend the night in my house(one roomed house with 1 bed).Please tell me was i suppose to sleep together on one bed? or i leave her and go to a lodging(will it be fair to her).Advice pliz

reader, anonymous, writes (1 November 2007): how can it be a house if it is one room! maybe it would be best if one of you slept in the lounge. if it is ONE room and it was late are you making excuses for sleeping in the same bed. worst case, you could have slept on the floor, or yes alternative accommodation.

 In my opinion, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. So long as the two of you aren't engaging in ANY type of sexual activity while sleeping together. No touching, petting, rubbing, sucking - none of that. People who claim to devoted Christians find themselves saying that they're not having sex before marriage but "fool around" with their soon to be spouse. Fooling around leads to lustful and sinful thoughts. Matthew 5:28 says "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Just wanted to point that out for you in case. Keep your hearts pure. If you can't keep your heart pure while being in such close proximity together, then it's probably not a good idea. If you CAN keep your thoughts and hearts pure, then it should be fine.

I dont believe you are breaking your religious beliefs if you just share a bed, so long as there is no sex before marriage right? Ask her, I would say it would be stranger to go lodging when you will soon be marrying this women and sharing a bed all the time. x
