rcn agony auntAs a parent I really feel for your family.

I would try also to run a search for ex-cult support groups. They may know where this one is, or the leader of it. At least they can give you a good view of what you'd be looking at from an inside point of view.

I'd also check with the ex place of employment and see if you can get the last place of contact information from them.

Quite often someone knows something, I'd recheck with friends of hers to see if they can remember anything additional.

Check on Myspace, Facebook etc.

UPDATE

well we've tried police, the cult support group i've read so many books on thought reform and cults.

we did get a private investigator at the start but he wasnt able to find out much.

the worst of it is our daughter always wanted to be a dr and was in st john ambulance in uk so when we moved to au we just encouraged her to join again. it was the leader of the group that she went to live with.we tried the st john head quarters but they were really un helpful and in the end said he had resigned.

we have kept an eye on the first address we had, we know she's not there.

she had a really good childhood.she has two younger sisters. they changed her thoughts of her past and when she first went to them she had a phobia of coming home because it made her sick. its amazing what someone can do to someone else within a weekend.

we really dont know where to start looking for this cult because all we know is its on a farm. we dont even know if its religious orwhat.

i've tried looking up allsorts on the internet. thats how i feel across this site.

i've tried looking up the guys name. we know he was known by the police for fraud but the other person suddenly dropped the accusation.

we just feel at a complete dead end. we havent filed missing person until we're sure from the cult info people of the long term problems it might cause.

ty for your replies.

If I were you, I would seek help from a private investigator. You should contact the police and file a missing persons report if you have'nt already.

Where do you live? You could try the Samaritans but it depends on where you live. My cousin disappeared by in 1976, in Edinburgh and we think she joined a cult, we have never heard from her since. Maybe she just doesnt want to be found, some people do that, for whatever reason. Did she have a good and happy childhood? Did anything happen to her to make her go off? These questions need to be answered. Try google on the internet, i am sure there are lots of people out there willing to help.

take care

xx

Checkup Man agony auntHave you tried the internet web sites? You could try a search under the various cults. I'll take a look around myself and see what I can find! Scientology is one I can think of. Are you in Australia?
