Hey.

Today i lost my virginity. I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time. The strange thing is, it didn't hurt. I've always been told it's sore and i'll bleed but nope neither happened. Is something wrong with me ?

And afterwards because he finished long before me, we had sex for a second time which also didn't hurt. But after we had finished, i didn't orgasm, which is fine.

After all of it i felt incredibly ill. We used a fresh condom both times and it didn't split. I'm not on the pill, could i be pregnant?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (29 March 2009):

I didn't bleed or feel pain either. It's because (as well as braking my hymen by riding bikes and climbing trees at a child) I waited till I was old enough and also had done all the other stuff lots of times to build up to sex. I guess you did the same.

As for feeling ill, you just had a big pointing thing jabbing at your womb, intestines and stomach. Plus it's a pretty HUGE emotional thing to go through.

You cannot feel signs of pregnancy this early on. The sperm doesn't even reach the egg for a few days, which is why you have 72 hours to take the morning after pill.

If you used condoms right then you will not be pregnant.

You may want to consider using the pill AS WELL as condoms if you are going to be having regular sex with your boyfriend. 2 safety nets are ALWAYS better than one.

Good Luck!! xx

No nothing wrong not everyone bleeds - you might have broken the hymen doing something else years ago. e.g. gymnastics, masturbating, horse riding etc.

in what way did you feel ill?

if you used a condom correctly and it didn't burst or split or he didn't use his fingers inside of you after taking off the condom, then a very very very slim chance you are.
