writes:I just started hs, and i think theres been a rumor abt me being gay. Well it all started in May when we had a pizza party 2 get 2 know all the freshmons. I met this girl, there and we were just talking and then just randomly her boyfriend comes up and says "Who's tht gay girl ur talking 2?" She said wat my real name was and said "Thats not nice 2 call her gay." Now today in art class, our teacher wanted 2 know wat my grade was on a drawing a drew. She was asking everyone and then reached me. After i said my answer, the same boy at the pizza party said "O my gosh, shes so gay!" The teacher said, "Dont say tht thats not nice. I was so hurt that i wanted 2 cry but i didnt. Idk y they think im gay. I dont act like a male, and am not sexually attracted 2 other girls. Well, i did have a couple of crushes on girls but they never lasted very long and noone even knew abt them. Do u know y theyre saying this abt me? Do u think im acting a certain way tht im not aware of??

You could always use the line "takes one to know one" but then they could say that because you didn't deny it then you are gay. Name calling is just stupid and childish, just try to ignore it as best you can and don't let them see that they are upsetting you.

 they are bored and want someone to pick on. if people know they can upset you then they will sometimes.
your best bet is to rise above it and ignore it but if the bullying becomes systematic-that is it follows a routine pattern, then tell a teacher or give them a slap-your choice

 when you say gay are you sure they are on about the sexuality gay, i know what highschool teens are like and sometimes they mean gay as in just a word that isn't very nice. turn around and say something like ''yeah if i was gay then why would i fancy boys?''
