writes:I need help. I'm in seventh grade, and I've liked this boy since 3rd grade! We've been best friends for ever, but thats all. Tons of people say that I should just try to ask him out, but the thing is, I know he'll either say no, or walk away. Last year, I tried asking him if he liked me. He stared blankly at me for a few seconds...and then ran. He would have said no anyway! I asked his cousin, and his Best dude friend, and they both said no. We're still great friends, but I KNOW there must be a way to get him to like me! But he's SUPER shy with that kind of stuff...lol, not so much when it comes to standing out. Thats why I like him. ^_^ Any suggestions? Theres no way I'm getting over him, so please don't say that.P.s, I know, I know, "I'm to young for a relationship" But I'm sick and tired of hearing that from everyone I talk to. I've never dated anyone anyway, so there. I've been obsessing over the same dude for four years, while all my friends are running around drooling over every boy on the sidewalk. I'M LOYAL, and I should be ready for at least a small relationship. I don't go gaga over ever boy with a cute smile, thankyou very much. -_-

Sounds like he's too young for a relationship even if you're not. By 9th grade he should notice you if he's ever going to. If it winds up he doesn't like you there is virtually no chance of ever winning him over. Girls can be won over, but guys almost never can.
So really, honestly, keep him in the back of your mind and if you really want a boyfriend find another one. It's a good plan too because if it's a guy you don't like as much you can practice having a boyfriend until you get better at it. There is seriously a lot to know about relationships.

Well it sounds like you are totally ready for a relationship, but this guy you like isn't. If you want a relationship with him bad enough you are just going to have to wait until he is ready for one. He must like you because you are such great friends so I wouldn't do anything to ruin that. If you are always presuring him to be your boyfriend he isn't going to want to be around you anymore. I would just tell him how you feel and then keep on being his friend until he is ready for a relationship. You can try asking him out to a school dance or on a date, but don't pressure him into something he isn't ready for. Just give him time and things will work out.
