Fatherly Advice agony auntThanks for following up!

The big key is to be flexible (mentally) and just keep trying until it works for both of you.

So_Very_Confused agony aunt5”3” 126 pounds.. barely any fat on you at all missy… good for you… and good for you for being with a big guy.. I love bigger guys. If he is mostly belly it will require some maneuvering… if he’s all butt and thighs and arms.. no adjustments will be needed.

You may find that you like his weight on top of you… I know I did and I’m about your size now…

Good positions for folks with bellies are what’s called scissors or dovetail… when I was 300 pounds and my partner was nearly 500 both of us big bellied we still were able to have intercourse….

Here are some great sites with some great suggestions:

A male reader, Beingblack United Kingdom +, writes (28 December 2011):

Beingblack agony auntI think it is wrong to assume that the OP's boyfriend is fat/overweight. I am lucky enough to meet many current and former professional athletes, and a large proportion of them are around that size. I wouldn't call an average NFL defensive tackle fat or overweight, either to his face or behind his back!

Also, we must all remember that muscle weighs far more than fat, something the BMI index cannot take into consideration. Heavily muscled sports stars are, according to the BMI, morbidly obese.

So I am going to assume that the boyfriend is a large man, who can use his knees, hands, and elbows to stop himself from 'flopping', or putting a lot of weight on you.

If previous boyfriends have been putting their complete weight on you, then I understand your concerns. Just remember there are many ways to have sex, and a considerate man would not dream of trying to make you uncomfortable at all.

Fatherly Advice agony aunthow is it possible?

Believe it or not, overweight people, both men and women, do have sex. You boy friends BMI is about the same as my wife's so if he carries his fat out front it may be a bit difficult to see his equipment when he is standing up. So lay him down. Most will recommend a woman on top position (cowgirl) in your case. Facing either way. There are other positions that work well for overweight people. Do a little research. For his own health and self esteem it would be good if he lost some weight, but it should not affect your relationship physically.
