my girlfriend used to complain too about the hair in her mouth and whatnot, so now i just shave down there about once a week, because short hair isn't as uncomfortable/doesn't get quite as much in the way, but i don't recomend taht women shave , or at least, it's not necessary as much as it is for us guys

My hubby is now totally free of pubic hair. I just love his new look and the subtle change in his behavior. Everything is now "out there" for me to view and enjoy. For my part, I simply acted more agressive in persuading him to shave it all off. From his perspective, he's now getting much appreciated attention from me in that area, if you get my drift. Plus, I still have my bikini trimmed bush to tickle him with!

willywombat agony auntHe has hairs right ALONG his penis? Or is it just that you can DT him?

Sorry, being facetious.

I think if he shaves his pubes (this is just a guess mind) you could end up with stubble rash on your face (like when you snog a bloke who hasn't shaved) plus it will be very uncomfortable for him when it grows back!!

A male reader, Blue Rat United Kingdom +, writes (15 January 2007):

This is an area that women generally give some thought and attention to, yet men traditionally never have - although this is changing and some men do think about it more and choose to tidy up, or shave it off altogether.

Chances are, it's just never entered his head that it might need trimming back a bit!

There's some good advice from the ladies who have posted already, in terms of how to approach the subject with him, and make it seem a fun thing to do, without embarrassing him at all. And, as Lilly223 points out, it will make him appear bigger, and I don't know many guys who wouldn't see that as a good selling point!

But if he doesn't take the hints, or playful suggestions, then just ask him outright to tidy up and tell him why. If he's still not willing to do something so easy, painless and simple, to benefit his own girlfriend, then just say "you know what? If you can't be bothered, then neither can I. No haircut, no more BJ's"

That should do it.

A male reader, Dagwood South Africa +, writes (15 January 2007):

Dagwood agony auntHi,

I'm a guy and I trim my pubes a regulary just to keep everything nice and tidy. A good brushing now and then also makes sure all stray pubes are removed and don't get in the wrong places. Just ask your boyfriend, as Lilly says, during foreplay and make a game of it! You can trim the pubes with a scissors and if you want to lick his scrotum (which I love, most guys do I suppose)use a razor and shave the scrotum free of all hair! Have fun, maybe ask him to give you a trim too! Enjoy. Cheers Dagwood

A female reader, Jadzia1127 United States +, writes (15 January 2007):

Jadzia1127 agony aunt When a man keeps his hair trim and tidy it often allows for more sensation. Many men don't even think of shaving or trimming until asked to.

It might be easier to make a mention of this increased sensation to get him excited to try a decrease in his bushiness.

A female reader, Lilly223 United States +, writes (15 January 2007):

Lilly223 agony auntHere I go again... :) In my experience... some guys do, some don't... some are really fuzzy, and some are not and most probably would tidy up the area if you asked them too... especially if you tell them you think it looks HOT. In addition, a good selling point on the trimming or shaving is it adds another visual inch (a bonus in most guys books.)

How do you approach him and ask him? Either straight up with an explination... it gets in my mouth, OR you could just take the scissors in a playful moment, put on a naughty smile and say "I want to try something... how 'bout a new style?" He might look at you a little wary, but promise him you will be EXTRA careful and see what he says. It all depends on what kind of relationship you have. Happy Trimming!

CarrieMagdelene agony auntHey-howdy-hi! Good question, because I understand your delima. Been there once or twice, but never said anything. I kinda liked the fuzzzzz, hehe, because it reminded me I was with a man...Not a pre-pubescent boy, lol. Still, speak up! I've complained about the pubes that go a stray, and he did something about it (just trimmed up a little with some scissors), and we're dandy now. Ask him to trim up. If he asks why, say it would look nice, or that it'd make it more comfortable for you. Enjoy life! -Carrie
