Should I ask her out on a second date?

Hello dear readers, well my story is that i dated first a girl who is my university, first date was great, we talked a lot , she laughed also...but all the time she didn't give me the opportunity to come closer to her, maybe i sad some stupid things on the date...or she is just afraid, or she waits till i'll kiss her.....i tried to kiss her, but she didn't accept it, and just ignored what i've done, and changed the conversation. i saw her today, she even didn't recognize me, we talked 30 seconds and she had to leave, should i ask her for a second date? i'm a proffesional tennis player and told her that i'll learn her to play, she refused...friends tell me to ask her out again cause they've talked to her a little bit and she is interested in me.
