Recovering Alcoholics don't keep drinking after right?

i'm sorry but theres a guy who is CLEARLY lying to me.

if you were an alcoholic you wouldn't be drinking still would you?

like going out getting bladdered things like that?

because this guy i was dating told me he was an alcoholic and that he was going out drinking and i said that if he was one that he wouldn't be going out drinking again because you're just teasing yourself.

and he would text me saying he's drunk and off his face and i was like you're not meant to be doing that seeing as you're a "recovering alcoholic"

alcoholics do not keep drinking after they have just recovered right?

i mean i'm not being stupid right?

and for the record i am not with him i am just out of the relationship

but he said he would start drinking again if i didn't go back

blah blah

but tbh i think he lied abou being one ?

he's not because his parents would know about it and his mates

and oddly enough they don't
