Pregnancy tests are pretty acurate these days. Most can tell if your pregnant before your even late.I think your worring about it is not helping the situation as anxiety can make you late. You don't say why you don't use BC but if you don't want children yet perhaps you should think about using something. xx

I wouldn't worry just yet, unless you're experiencing other symptoms that are present with being pregnant. Wait a couple of days and try another test, or go to your local family planning office and they'll generally test at no cost to you.
If you don't like the feeling of being scared, use BC. Not using it may be taking changes you aren't ready to accept the consequences for.

Hi there,
Firstly, i know how you must be feeling really anxious currently and that can't be nice for you.
Assuming you don't want to be pregnant, I would think that the fact you took a pregnancy test and it came up negative is obviously good news. You could take another today just to confirm the situation and calm you down somewhat more.
As you have had a negative test, that is reasonable evidence that you aren't pregnant. Therefore, it is likely that among other things, your anxiety about being pregnant is delaying your period which further makes you anxious. Also if you ovulated on 1 December and had sex on 12 December and you are confident in knowing your body / cycle and when you ovulate then the timing would be such that pregnant would be unlikely compared to other times of your cycle.
If you get away with it this time, then you probably do need to think about your approach to birth control. If you find it difficult in the heat of the moment for you and your partners to remember to put a condom on him (or if when sexually aroused the desire is close to overwhelming not to use one) then consider other methods such as the pill.
While unprotected sex can be more pleasurable than stopping to have you man put on a condom and then the loss of feeling for you when he is using one, are those minutes of pleasure then worth all the anxiety and worry you have now? I am sure not.
If you have unprotected sex there is always the risk of becoming pregnant. The level of risk varies at different times of your cycle but it is there. If you are happy about taking this risk and accepting of the possibility of becoming pregnant that is fine. However, I don't think you are that kind of person right now.
Good luck and let us know.

If it is over a full week late you may want to start worrying but ive heard of people i know having the period be late by 2 weeks or longer sometimes. But this is very uncommon and should not happen all the time. So give it a few more days and test again. If your period is late still by the end of next week test again, by this point if its this late and you are not testing positive i might recommend you go see a doctor. Something may be making you irreguler. Had to study up a lot on this for a girl friend of mine who is computer stupid.

Seems to me like your running a little late, and your not pregnant.
BUT JUST TO BE SAFE.
take two, for accurate results.
than take two more one or two weeks later.
if you still havent had your period yet, you could be pregnant so take differeent brands of them , THEY COULD BE WRONG.
it's just a matter of waiting and testing, i'm sorry when i say it's going to be a stressful month!
