writes: im in loove with this fela ive known for half year.he has girlfriend but has now left her for me.we get together on nites out an meet then.we want to become serious and have a relationship.as im only 17 and he is older by a few years i ran it past my parents first.did not go down well and its out of the question having relationship at my age.im hurt and angry at my parents cruelness.ive no life and i feel trapped by them,they feel im too young and need to focus on school work and not boys?there quite oldfashioned and im at the point i cant take this anymore.what do i do they wont listen to me or give me a chance.they have trust in me and i find it frustrating.i will never get to see this fella at all now.any advice??

First of all I must congratulate you for your confidence in speaking with your parents about your decision before you actually went and made it, shows alot of trust that you have with your parents.. They should motivate themselves by rewarding you for being honest and not going behind there backs with your new guy..
I think though to slacken your situation, that you should speak with one of them that you trust more (or both of them) depending on your situation, and explain that you need to have a life outside of school.. Its better to be calm and professional when explaining these things with your parents so they dont think you are "Tina the Teenager" with moodswings..
You should mention that your schoolwork will not fail and that you understand the full consequences about having this relationship..
You should speak to them in the manner that this boy is your friend and not your boyfriend as sometimes parents find it hard to accept when their kid has a relationship... It means they are growing up..
