reader, anonymous, writes (17 June 2010): I dont belive it to be a fad as it has been called. I'm a man who absolutly LOVES shaven legs, bare skin, smooth, sensual.... I think I'm working myself up. The point is, I love shaven skin for many reasons, and the attraction extends well into the pubic area. I do expect my girlfriends/partners to keep it 'trimmed' or at least orderly, as do I. But shaven is just a treat. xP

insrchof is verified as being by the original poster of the question Glad to see I'm not alone. I don't think I have ever ask a woman to shave it. I do shave my testicles though. Mostly due to oral sex. I love to have them sucked and having no hair makes it even better. I am a hairy guy though. Chest, legs, arms, butt.

 Mostly for aesthetic reasons (ie. some men like it that way). Keeping it trimmed is generally a good idea though.

Yeah, it's the current style more than a genuine preference.
I'm a guy who MUCH prefers a more natural bush. Even if the "bald" look doesn't remind me of plucked chickens, I have to wonder if she's a woman, or a prepubescent 13-yr old.
My wife and I have experimented with shaving it all off a few times, just for the variety. She reports that it does somewhat enhance the sensations of oral sex, but not enough that she'd be willing to put the time into the necessary maintenance and upkeep to keep it that way. The "stubble stage" as it grows back is definitely a turn-off for both of us!

reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2010): if it makes you feel any better - us hairy women are still out and proud :) i don't think all women whip it off cos personally we all don't want to look like little girls (or paris hilton generation rejects). I think its just a passing trend that will no doubt change in time. I like my hair and i've never had complaint - personally, its staying :)

 Often the main reason why women shave or wax off all of their pubes is to do with their partner's preference. A lot of men, I've found, prefer neater pubes or completely shaved or waxed.
I feel this has to do with porn - a lot of guys start watching porn at a young age, and if they're seeing a lot of shaved pubic regions throughout their teens and adolescence in pornography, they're going to think that's 'normal'.
Of course, this is just a generalisation and not all men are this way. But I've noticed that's the way a lot of the guys I know are, around my age.
On the flip side, there are women who personally prefer no pubes because it may feel nicer or 'cleaner' (even though shaving off pubes doesn't make anything cleaner at all).

It is simply the style now. I think in today's younger generations we see having hair as unclean. And there is also this sense of being completely exposed that is a slight turn on as the exposed person.
Just my thoughts.

I have once or twice but it's too much work to keep up with and it looks.....unnatural. I feel like I'm 10 years old again. Hmmm, could that be part of the turn on?....Don't know, but don't like it and hopefully it's just a phase that will pass as some point. I think men just don't want a mouthful of fur when(if) they go down on you. If you keep it trimmed way back, problem solved.

 I feel the same as you. I feel exposed with no hair at all there, almost like I have no longer have control over who touches me there. I think it's meant to impress males more than anything. Females are supposed to be "perfect" and "hairless", just because they're female.

 Well the main thing is that it's that way in porn. They shave it all off in porn for a better visual because the point of porn is to see everything, and it's kind of hard to through a ton of hair. So in that setting it makes sense. A lot of men become used to that and want it in their women, so women do it. Oddly men in porn shave fairly often but don't in real life. Anyways, I bet most women would be thrilled if you wanted them to leave some.
