We are identical twins and the guys we are with (4 months) are identical twins and we only just found out because we hadn't met each other's boyfriends before and I'm not sure what we all think of it. It's a bit strange. What should we do?

chigirl agony auntWhat should you do? Well you need to laugh about it and have a good sense of humour. People will comment I am sure, and you'll get a bit more attention if you go out on double dates. Double attention, haha. See? Prepare yourselves for lame jokes like that. Get thick skinned. Just laugh it away and carry on as normal.

So_Very_Confused agony auntI've heard of this...

of course the closest I have is I know one couple who is married and her sister is married to his brother... so the kids are double cousins.... but they are not twins.

how do you and your sister not know who each other's boyfriends are???

don't the brothers talk too?

It is not weird, just uncommon. Just don't get them mixed up and draw bounderies clear and you'll be fine. Also keep in mind that the twins are probably as close to one another as you are to your twin. So don't do or say anything you don't want their entire family to know!

A reader, anonymous, writes (30 July 2012):

I don't think its weird. When me and my sister were younger (like teenagers) I used to date a girl and my sister used to date her brother.

All I will say in your situation is you all need to try not to get confused with on another :P lol that could be disastrous.

A female reader, Abella United States +, writes (30 July 2012):

Abella agony auntIt is not uncommon at all.

I have heard of this happening several times.

In the 19th century it was not uncommon for more than one sister in a family to marry into another family where the spouse belonged to family A in more than once instance and the persons they marriage belonged (all of the persons) to family B.

Meaning that all the cousins shared the same grandparents.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

Just continue to enjoy each other's company

It is All OK.

Leykis101 agony auntNo I have 3 friends or should i say sets of friends, who are all twins, it's not weird at all, it's pretty cool, but the one set of my friends who dated twin girls, ended in one thing, and id watch out for it, the guys eventually trying to get you two to switch up, I don't know them, they could be different, but that's where my friends went with it, and the girls, not so much, they got dumped the same exact day, LOL, I assure you if they ever date twins again, they will try it again, good luck, have fun, wouldn't that be a trip if you actually married them, and had kids?? damn, now that Ive never seen, take care.
