I am 14 and my Mom died five years ago so now I live alone with my dad. I have no brothers or sisters so this and a previous forum is where I get all of my sex information. Some tease me and ask me if I sleep with my dad but I try not to let this bother me.(for your information we do NOT!) He drives a truck occasionally and is gone for up to three days at a time. I am not afraid because we live in a good rural community and we keep everything secure. My dad gave me two credit cards, one for household expenses and another for personal use. I do not know the limits for their use but he seldom complains. I do not get to take part in after school activities because I do not have transportation.Dad has promised me a car whenI get 15. He bought me an ATV last year.I do all of the cooking cleaning and laundry as well as go to school. The only complaint I have is that he treats me like a little girl and does not realise that I am a woman and have needs that I cannot talk about to anyone except this forum. Two years ago my first period was unexpected and a real problem. It looks like there is no bright future for some time. I have recently, after visiting another forum, discovered my sex needs and am exploring solo sex. This forum has helped me more than the other one did. I do not know what to expect in answers but it has made me feel good to introduce myself. I have nobody else to talk to. school nurse is not very nice because she reported me to Child Protection Services but they investigated and after some time reluctantly approved the relationship i live in. My dad has promised me that there will be money for college if I am willing to work and make good grades. Thanks for listening. I wish Dad has a girlfriend but he seems to have no interest. The forst summer after Mom died he let me ride in the truck with him. KMD

 Hi Katie. Your Dad sounds like...well a Dad. It's obvious he loves you very much. I believe we spoke about your mom awhile ago and I think you are dealing with it very well. As far as Dad goes I think you might as well know he probably will always see you as his little girl deep in his heart but he'll slowly come around as you get older. Just be patient and the lovely young lady that you are. Now that you've "outed" yourself on this site, maybe you can help us with some of these other 14 year olds who seem to be speaking in a foreign language sometimes.

I really hope you can find someone who knows you personally and able to give you sound advise. But, its cool that you reached out. I just which you had the personal relationship with a older female, that can talk to you about some things. I wanted to respond to the part about your dad. I am 40 years old with my own house and my dad still treats me like I am a little girl. The truth is it won't stop. I am able to discuss men with my dad and he has really given me some sound advise (not about solo sex though), but trying to understand a males perspective surface things. My dad knows I have sex and all that. But, I am still a little girl in his eyes and always will be. I just had this discussion with him 3 weeks ago. And, he told me I should be glad he is treating me like a little girl, some girls don't have fathers at all. And, I told him he was right. I do appreciate him. You probably feel more this way because you are a teenager. Parents, never stop parenting no matter how old you get. So smile!!!!

 What do you expect of him? If he is a normal regular guy he will barely understand women let alone a teenage girl.
Periods? Those are the things that go at the end of sentences. Sure, his wive had them but that is about the limit of his knowledge. Do you expect on day to talk to your son about morning wood? About wet dreams? About worries about penis size?
You two will have to make the best of this situation. Is there no female relative you can talk to? An aunt, a grandmother?
You say he is treating you as a little girl. Sexually perhaps but he seems to trust you enough to stay on your own, have your own credit card, make plans for the future. So he might not realize your a woman, but he is treating you as a young adult.
He cannot become your mother, and he seems to be trying to be a good parent. Perhaps you can talk to him about your worries but remember that many mothers also don't talk to their daughters about this stuff.
