I started masturbating like about 12 years ago.I had many girlfriends but now I am single for about 6 years.My problems are:1- I think I am a highly sex active.2- In my country , our traditions and cultures forbid premarital sex.3- It is hard in our country to have sex with your girlfriend.4- Yes, I am still virgin ... not because of our tradition and culture in my country .. but because I want to save this to the right one.5- My work doesn't give me that time to go out and know much girls ... so I am always like -horny- ... so my only one solution is masturbating.That's it ... Not women & sex. Don't waste your time playing with your dingdong. Let that be your future wife's job. For now, focus all your energy developing your skills, & discovering your talents so that you can enjoy the rewards & successes that you will derivefrom work. Hope this helps.

 At 28, you are a grown man, in charge of your own life. If you aren't happy with your sex life and your marital status, perhaps it's time you took steps to change it.
You may be stuck in this same situation 5 years from now, 10 years or longer. Rather than worry about the horniness and if this is normal, why not make a plan to find a mate? If it involves changing careers, well, then, time to do it!

 It's ok. Masturbation is certainly not preferable as the only sexual release, but it is perfectly normal and has no physical detriment. I somewhat understand your culture, having lived in Libya for one year (1964). My preferred society is America, but to the point, masturbation is ok and you probably will do that throughout life, even when married, as most everyone does.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 August 2012): Masturbation seems perfectly reasonable under the circumstances you describe. Four times per week is hardly excessive. I'm almost twice your age and I'll sometimes do it three times per day.
