A female Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi, I've been dating my boyfriend for 5 years now and I love him to death but the initial butterflies are gone and it's deeper, he's more like a family member. His friend and I became really good friends over the past 5 years too and I can't figure out whether he ever liked me. He has a girlfriend now, but I think he's liked me all along but couldn't say nothing cuz it was wrong to do so all along. I now realize I am in love with both of them deeply, I know he loves his girlfriend too... but I can't help sense his love when he looks in my eyes and calls me for no damn reason often. Today he told me... how much he loves his girlfriend and I feel like maybe Ii imagined the whole vibe and I'm kinda freaking out. My close friends tell me they see it too and I'm not nuts... please help me, I need to know, I've never felt so deeply in love before, I'm going crazy faking the smiles and hiding the tears.

quarky agony auntIf you look at the question I've raised before, you'll see I'm in a similar impossible situation. I feel for you. I have no answer but you're not alone! My gut reaction is to follow your heart but that can lead to loss of both the people you love and a lot of pain. Somehow, you have to make a decision and different people will tell you how those decisions have worked out or not-I'll leave it to them-I ain't quite there yet!
