I've been told the guy I'm seeing is a playa. How do I talk to him about it?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hey everyone! I'm a 17 year old girl from the UK. Lately I've been hanging out at a friend's flat most nights as there is always good company, and I've developed a crush on a guy I met quite recently who is often there. About a week ago we kissed and we've been kissing and holding hands the times we've seen each other since then. Mostly we've been drinking when we're around each other- but I really like him and we make each other laugh. I can't stop thinking about him. Last night at a party a friend told me hes a player- I had some suspicions myself already. I was really upset though because I wanted to ask him out but i don't want to feel like I'm being used as I already have trust issues. I know I should just talk to him about it and I will- but I don't know what to say. Any advice?

Fiona xxx agony auntIt is easy to fancy the wrong sort of guy, so to speak.

Possibly at a party.

Once I was told "Whatever you do, don't end up kopping of with ******" Of course I did, just snogging.

All part of life that sort of thing, but you have been warned, whatever you do, don't get hurt.

lexilou agony auntSometimes friends are wrong or have ulterior motives, maybe he's knocked her back or she just doesnt like him. Its hard to know the truth and if you already have trust issues you could end up hurt. But if you really like him just take it one day at a time and go into it with an open mind. I wouldnt even mention it to him but at the first sign she's right, if there is one, walk away as soon as you can. Having said that if you already have your suspicions then maybe she is right. I think only time will tell x good luck
