Once a day is certainly less than I did it at that age. I did go on a school trip one time and only managed enough privacy to do it once in the two weeks.
Everyone is different, and your 'normal' may differ from someone else's. As long as it's not interfering with anything you're fine.

 Daily masturbation at 17... all sounds normal.. However, I would prefer for you to cut it down, you should be able to survive a day without sex. Try for every other day instead, and just allow your self to feel frustrated on the no-sex days. Frustration is uncomfortable, but you can do it and it will help you learn lessons about sex and self control.
If you can't do it every other day, then try to keep at least 2 days sex-free in the week. But daily (or more frequent) masturbation is normal in my part of the world for teens. Because you see it as a problem, I am recommending a solution which I think will be useful to you and which will fit into what your society probably calls normal.
Don't worry and obsess about sex, or that will be a bigger problem than you masturbatory habits. If during the sex-free days you find yourself obsessed, I suggest you pick up some type of sport which will leave you too tired to think about sex at all.

 Sounds a bit frequent, but at your age, probably not especially abnormal. Cut back on the pornography, if you use that. You would probably cut it down to two-three times a week.
