Question - (5 March 2013) 1 Answers - (Newest, 5 March 2013)
A male United States age 26-29, *ing of Amateurs writes:

So I made friends with this girl last year, and everyone in the school thinks that we like each other. And a part of me thinks we do to. The two of us will bicker on and on, we will insult each other to no end, but all in good fun. We never try and hurt each others feelings, even if we do like to insult each other. Sometimes we end up texting for awhile, and sometimes we barley text at all.

She's told me before that she likes some other guy, and at the time she said it at one of the most random moments. I believed her, but at times I wonder if she was just trying to get a reaction out of me. Also she recently mentioned she was going prom dress shopping with a couple of the girls in the class. I just don't understand why'd she mention that so randomly.

Last year, she came up with the idea to go on a fake date to prank one of our friends.

I just don't know, part of me feels like there is something there, and then there's the part of me where I believe that she likes someone else. But everyone in our class thinks we like each other. I'm just not sure if there feelings are just on my side or if she has feelings for me to.

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (5 March 2013):

CindyCares agony aunt Nothing ventured , nothing gained. Why do you guys always want to play it so 100% safe ? Ask her out and see what she says. If she is not interested at all ( but it sounds she might be interested, with all the verbal sparring and stuff ) she'll tell you and I bet she won't be mean about it, after all you are good friends.
