writes:Hey my name's Lana and I am in love with my highschool teacher. Now please don't say it's infatuation, a stage, a crush or any of that. You can't really tell me what I feel i'm sorry but I've heard that to many times before and I just don't like it when people say that. I am 18 and he is 30. Now I have been having these feelings for him since I was in year 8 and now i'm in year 12. I have no idea how to tell him and does he like me as well? We talk non stop sometimes in the after noon and one time I was talking to him and i usually walk home with my sister and I was like maybe I should go now. and he said " Oh. You sure? Theres air conditioning in here. You can stay if you want" ANd it was like 3.40/4.00 and there was no one left in the school and he said it in a tone like he wanted me to stay. What does that mean? And he has said about 3 times now that he is always there for me if I ever need anything or need to talk I can turn to him, last time he said that i was really upset and he was walking away and he turned back and said now you have me worrying about you lana. And yeah it was really sweet. Other times he is always smiling and laughing with me, he always makes jokes about me. Like one time I was lifting a table and i had a bad wrist and i wasnt meant to lift anything and I said to my friend oh u better do it I dont want to hurt my wrist and he was behind me and he was like * woos cough cough* And yeah he always teases me but In a funny way it's never to cruel. And he always remembers what I tell him, wether its about my holiday or weekend and i start talking about someone he will be like oh the guy you met up the coast or something. And yeah he is so sweet and says i'm a very trustworthy person, and he always tells me he's there for me. I am in love with him and I want to tell him, or do you think he actually might have feelings for me too? I want to tell him when I leave school so he wont get into trouble. But how do I know? Please tell me is there a chance he might like me as well? Thank you for reading and sorry for making it soo long.

I saw him today and I had a detention with him, it's actually a long story.. But five minutes after the detention I went back to him alone and I was standing at the staffroom door and he looked up and saw me and smiled and I laughed and said i was planning on working on something but I forgot so I came back, and he laughed and he said Sorry for giving you a detention I didn't want to, It wouldn't have been fair though If i gave one to everyone else and not you. And i laughed and said it was ok. But he said sorry to me? And it was my fault lol.

 He might like you too. Is he dating anyone? I know with one of my teachers, whenever his wife is away he gets kind of lonely and will want to talk to me for awhile about more personal stuff, like his kids or his other job. I've stayed after talking with a teacher until 5:30 (2 hrs after school lets out), kind of like you said you had, and so I get what you mean. One weekend we were both at the school organizing an event, and his wife was out of town, so we just sat there talking for about an hour once everyone else had left (he had asked me to 'stay for a little while').
He may like you, but he may just be lonely and see you as a friend. He could also see you as kind of a 'work wife'. I don't know, though.... Is he more flirtatious or more friendly? It's kind of difficult to make a judgement like that only knowing about a couple of occurances.
