DIE-romantic. agony auntGo you. Its not wrong at all. Many older guys have younger girlfriends. About the loud mouths, well. Who cares what they say? Immature. Admit it, be honest, dont care. :]

Banoffee agony auntYou haven't got anything to worry about. You fancy her, so good for you for being honest. It makes perfect sense to ask her out. It's a GOOD thing.

If she does happen to reject you and she or her friends find it necessary to "loud mouth" about it for some reason, you'd be quite entitled to say "Yeah, I asked her out and I'm glad I did and I'll do exactly the same the next time!"

A male reader, kenny United Kingdom + , writes (14 June 2007):

kenny agony auntYou are only 16, she is 14, its only 2 years which is no age gap atal. It always sounds worse because you are so young, but in a few years like when you are 19 and she is 17 it dosen't sound so bad.

But i will say at this point refrain from doing anything sexual with her untill she reaches 16.

All the best

A female reader, flower girl United Kingdom +, writes (14 June 2007):

flower girl agony auntthere is no problem with the age gap as long as you are aware there should not be anything sexual between you, as for asking her out it's up to you if ou really like her surely it;s worth taking the risk of embarrasment if she rejects you.

Take care.xx.
