AskEve agony auntWas he getting reassurance from you that you felt all of this too? If not, then me might just have lost faith and gave up trying.

Danielepew agony auntSometimes people show they love us in ways we fail to appreciate. Some men are not into "I love you" thing, but they will do things for you to show they care. I wonder if this is the case here.

A female reader, AskEve United Kingdom +, writes (3 July 2007):

AskEve agony auntEveryone shows their feelings differently and in my experience a man finds it harder to say these 3 little words than a woman does. Maybe he doesn't show it in a tactile way but he might show it in other ways ie making sure you get home safely, looks after you when you're out together, pays for the meal, cinema etc. All these things are ways of showing he cares. In what ways would you LIKE him to show you he loves you? What do you feel is missing?

DIE-romantic. agony auntWell if he really meant it, surely he would show it as well as say it. It seems like hes just saying it because you want to hear it.
