Some guys mind and some guys don't. In my experience, I have never had a boyfriend turn me down during my period. And I don't mind doing it while I am on my period ONLY if it is with a boyfriend I love and trust. Like I would NEVER have sex on my period with someone I was just dating. I wouldn't even dare suggest it.

I actually have a higher sex drive around the time I get my period. So sex might actually be better. Just go in the shower.

Andy00 agony auntNo, you don't stop bleeding. Not intentionally trying to give a gross image, but after I was done, I pulled it out of her, and there were traces of bloody on the condom. Not so nice. lol.

I don't think it's gross. Your time of the month is natural. However, there are diseases of the blood that are highly more contagious that vaginal/semen excretions. I have Hepatitis C. My partner does not. It is NOT a sexually transmitted disease, however, it is passed by the blood, (no idea how I got it, I don't do drugs etc) as are many diseases and you should always use protection when you are on your period, even if you are in a monogamous relationship. Also, if you choose to have anal sex, not trying to gross you out, but if you do, always use a condom and switch condoms between anus and vaginal because there are things (germs that are natural to the anus, but not vagina) in the anus that can give you a vaginal infection. Best of luck.

You should definitely tell him and should not be ashamed to in the least! Getting your period is just part of being a woman- he'll understand that. You must not be very comfortable with him if you feel odd telling him.

I don't think it's gross, but that's just me. Don't worry about it- and I hope you're not feeling pressured to always have sex with this person!

daglish agony auntI dont believe in having sex when one is having her periods. Infact i usually take it as my wife's grace period unless she is really in need.

flower girl agony auntIf you are cool with it and your boyfriend is aswell then it's fine, personally it does not stop me and my husband having sex.

I never have very heavy periods so it does not really make much difference to us.

You should definately tell him and ask his opinion on it.

Take care.xx.

Andy00 agony auntI think you should definately tell him. If it grosses him out, it's much better this way than for him to find out.. another way.

It's still something you could do. I for one used to have sex with my girlfriend while she was on, purely because we didn't have a lot of time to do it, due to the fact it was a long distance relationship and only had about a week or so.

So, yes you can still do it, but you should definately tell him before you do, and then see if he still wants to.
