A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

This summer I went to Dominican republic and fell in love with a guy who works at my grandparents. We kissed, snuck out to the beach, it was amazing. ( I'm 13, we didn't have sex) I go there every summer so we said our goodbyes and see ya next summer. We both agreed to have relationships along the year but be single when the summer comes. Our only way to talk is IM due to long distance and in the beginning we talked alot and he told me how much he missed me and now when I IM him he doesn't reply:( He isn't a player or anything he's a really humble guy who alot of the girls back there like and he's really quiet but with me he's so different. I've never been with someone like him. It's been half a year and I still think about him everyday, that scared me.

A female reader, trotman68 United Kingdom +, writes (29 January 2010):

trotman68 agony auntHi there,

I had a experience just like yours, I was 7 when I meet someone at school and yes everyone said it was a school girl crush. When I was 11 he left school and really that way the last time I saw him. I knew I felt different about him and so I kept my love inside for a long long time.

He walked back into my life again when I was 39. I can honestly say I was in love with this man for a long long time. The problem was we are both married and also he lived so far away, but we would meet up and yes he said I meant the world to him. I thought he was telling the truth and, yes he said he loved me and missed me, he even told me that he only ever wanted me. Then one day, he walked out of my life, he was gone for 5 months, I didnt hear a word from him, he totally blocked me out.

Then one day my phone went, yes it was him. We meet up and I feel for it again. Now he is still in my life but things are not adding up and says he wants me more than anything. but 2 weeks ago, we had a few words and he said he could block me out of his life again.

The reason why I am telling you this is because I am nearly 42, it doesnt matter if you are 13 years old or my age. We have feelings and it hurts all the same.

If you want some good advice, please take this from someone that knows, just let him go his own way, you are both so young and school is far more important, boy can wait. One day when your my age, you will understand, life gets harder so I would enjoy your youth. I am pleased you hadn't had sex with him, 13 is actually far to young, also its true what people say to you, boys respect you more if you don't.

When you have backed off from him, he might realise he does actually miss you and I bet he will pick up the phone and call you. Let him do the running now and lets see what you truly did mean. I always say, a lady doesn't do the running, it shows we are needie, men like to play on this, but they far more like the chasing. Its a lot more fun.

Please let me know what the out come is. I would like to know. leelee.x
