A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

ok so here it goes.

it started 2 years ago. i'm a girl and i fell in love with my sisters best friend. i had a boyfriend back there and it was the first time i actually had feelings for another girl. first it was just a crush u know i thought that i'd forget her. but i didn't.

she says she's straight. but she sends me so much signals i mean whenever she sees me she smiles. and when she comes to our house it's like she forgets about my sister and hangs out just with me. and whenever she can she touches me, my arm or something. but again she says she's straight and she's always looking for boys. and another thing. she's always surrounded by them. it's like every boy in her school is in love with her. but she has no feelings for them so she is just playing with them. and now i started to get a feeling that she knows about my feelings. and i really didn't know what to do. but i always know nothing could ever happen. and i was just stupid to fall in love with her that much. so i'm getting over her but i just can't forget her. her eyes, her smile.

do you think is she just playing with me and is comfortable with a feeling that everyone loves her or what?

and here's another thing. a girl in my class is bi. and i always found her attractive but i'm shy and quiet and never really talked to her.

but now when school year started i cought her looking at me. but i thought that i'm just imagining. but one day later when there were a lot of places to sit free she sat with me. i found that weird becouse she never talked to me and she picked me to sit with. and she started to get interest in me. when me and some my friends were talking she came out from nowhere and when i said something she was listening so carefully and she asked me some questions about me and so on.

i don't know if it's just my imagination or she could like me? what do you think what should i do?

hey thanks. i felt better.

but i think i'm just not ready for something now.

there's something that pulls me back everytime i try to talk to her. i can't even open my mouth when i'm around her.

so i think she lost her interest in me.

i'll try in some time.

A female reader, lilly123 United Kingdom +, writes (7 September 2008):

lilly123 agony auntit sounds like your sisters friend is just toying with you because she knows you like her if she has always had every boys attention then she will love having attention from a girl also, I know its hard to get over someone when you are crazy about them but you should move on and a good place to start is with the other girl it sounds like she does like you so don't be quite and shy she has made the first move, she wants to be around you and she wants to know things about you so be confident with her because she wants to get to know you. If you don't try to move on you never will so start to get to know this other girl to see if you like her and see how things progress. i hope it all works out for you.
