 I can assure you that at 51 with two full term pregnancies under my belt, stripped naked with a full Brazilian Wax I do not look like a child.After pregnancy the pigmentation of the genital region darkens permanently in many if not most women. I look like a woman who waxes.now my bf when shaved looks like he's 12 and I made him grow some hair back for me.... he agreed although he dislikes it... smart man.... it really did feel like I was a pedophile with him..... ugh I get thatif he wanted me to grow hair back I would although I prefer the waxed feeling.... and thankfully so does he...

 I know exactly how you feel! Most women are embarrassed first time around in a salon! It's only natural to feel weird getting your hairy bits out in front of a stranger, especially in this day and age, (the age of the "perfect" undercarriage!). My best advice is to go for it! You have to remember that those ladies working in the salons see hairy bits ALL day EVERY day. They are extremely professional, and you will not regret it:) Veet in my experience isn't too good. It usually ends up with terrible ingrown hairs. GO FOR IT:)!!

Shave it's what I choose and I have never had any issue, you just have to do it while you shower every other day, but I guess it's up to you to keep it bold or not, personally, bold I think it's cleaner and sexier, and I think it has nothing to do with being an adult or a kid.... people that think that way makes me wonder why they even think that?... like, you are obviously an adult LOL anyways, Good Luck!

 I would suck it up for those 10 minutes of getting a professional wax. Yes, it's not nice laying on a table in front of a stranger, but it doesn't take long and it lasts for a good while. WORTH IT.
Self waxing is almost impossible (at least in THAT spot) you can end up with bruises and bad looking wax job.
Veet/Nair might do the trick, but I have to say from personal experience that Veet tends to give you ingrown hairs, and THAT is not a good spot for those.
Shaving.. you can get lucky (if you know what you are doing) and trim/shave, but it will start to grow out 2-4 days later.. and that just looks.. well kind of icky. Stubbles is also very uncomfortable.
You could try sugering.

I'd like to know this too....to me it seems like an invitation to look like a child would, not an adult. That creeps me out, and creeps me out even more if a man is turned on by this. Maybe I am misunderstanding, but adults have public hair, and I agree to clean it up and keep it trimmed, basic mantainence, but completely gone? Perverted to me...just my opinion.

 You could try the veet stuff, if Im correct that is a type of cream you apply onto the skin? I tried that once, didn't do anything. Hairs were still there, and if you leave it on for long you get a reaction as it's burning the hairs away in effect... and will do the same to your skin if left on long enough. Besides many are allergic to it. I wouldn't recommend it.
Using a razor is my best option. Another option is to buy swim wear that covers more of your intimate area, like a boxer shaped bottom instead of a bottom shaped more like a thong.
Have you considered an epilator? I was thinking if I should buy one myself, if anyone can recommend it?
Other than that you have shaving machines (most popular with the guys). They don't get as close to the skin as a razor, hence you will not get rashes or cuts, and it will look nice although you will be able to feel a tiny bit of stubble. But it will not be visible.

I find that if I am not waxing I am not liking any results...
if you are doing just a bikini wax (which is not totally bald to the anonymous reader btw) and not a Brazilian wax (that's a full wax but even then you can leave a "landing strip" if you want) you can wear high cut thong panties and not even have to take them off for the waxing...
i hate shaving, never got good results with Veet or Nair..
Waxing seems to be the best option for bikini line and/or Brazilian waxing.
I personally have full Brazilian waxing and YES it's very embarrassing... I can easily understand why some women would find it uncomfortable emotionally.... but it's the best result ever.... maybe you can learn to deal with it...
