writes:i have a job interview this following wednesday coming up i used cocaine about a month and half ago and now i need to make sure i past a hair drug test i only used one time only and like i said it was about a month ago...i am scared i may not past it...is there any advice anyone can give me about this and if i should be worried about it due to i only used once and it was a small amount...help?  Are you sure you will be doing a hair test? Hair testing for drugs is really expensive and companies rarely do that, it's usually urine. If it's hair, the only thing you can do is get rid of your hair since it will most definitely show up from 45 days ago unfortunately.

Yep, what CindyCares says. Sounds like you may have just messed up. Drugs can be traced back a long way, even just a small amount. And there's no real escape from a drug test.

Obviously,how much the test will go back depends also from the quantity of drug assumed and the length of the hair- with relevant quantities, and long hair, they can go back even 20 months.
But also with short hair, and one time use , they can go back 3 months.
The only thing you could do is cutting your hair VERY short - like 5 mm. max. But I guess this would look suspicious at a drug test. Unless you convince them that you really are into the G.I. Jane look- or that you just had head lice.
