I am on a dating site, and this guy from the university happens to be on there as well. Once I found this out, I went through stages of "To message him or not to message him." Given my impulsive nature, I opted to message him today. This might be normal, except for the fact I did tell him that I think he looked familiar and asked him if he goes to my school in the message. Now I am on pins and needles. So my question is, if you attended a rather large school and some person identified you and complimented you. Would you reply back? Would you feel creeped out? I know my it varies by individual, so my question is more general...how would you all react if someone that was crushing on you, messaged you at the risk of making a fool of themselves. Thanks ahead of time.

 If you were to contact him out of the blue like that it would be creepy... the fact that you are both on a dating site and that's how you contacted him makes it just fine IMO
IF he's interested he will get back to you.

 I don't see anything wrong with that! You go to the same school, you happened to notice him and you liked him...so no big deal! I think you are just tense coz maybe you are afraid of rejection but relax... there's a saying that you always hold NO in your hand... so any YES you receive is positive and as for NO.. well you always had that one! So what I'm saying is that if you are crushing on him and you made contact... its a step forward to a maybe YES!
