A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

ok guys heres the thing, lots of my friends are boys i mean like its sort of a 60%, 40% split between boys and girls and the boys are the majority, but after a while i tend to run out of things to talk about them with i try talking bout football but that doesnt last very long and because im very attached to my football team i cant lie and say i support there team in order to keep conversations going. also i have tried laughing at their sex jokes towards my other female friends an that only last a small amount of time until their jokes get so outragous that i feel i need defend my other friends so what i was wondering is, is there anything else i could try to help keep my friendships with boys alive cause i find them really cool and if im picked on for any reason they'll stand up for me and their reall funny ect., so wot do u think i can do???? plz help x x x

A reader, anonymous, writes (13 January 2010):

i get on better with boys also.

but you must understand boys dont always talk about footie all of the time..they do actually talk about their feelings and other things like who their crushes are and what their ambitions are.

just be yourself and say what you want..

you dont always have to go on about BOYISH things.

Sounds like you're already doing a great job anyway. I think you can just be yourself, as you are. They clearly like you.
