I think there's something going on between my boyfriend and his cousin

A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Sorry this post is lengthy, there's just a lot of details I have to add so I don't sound like a paranoid freak.

I don't know if I'm just being silly but I think there's something going on between my boyfriend and his cousin(at least I think she's his cousin, she's related to him in some way or other. I've never really asked, I don't know if it's blood relation or not).

Whenever they meet at family parties and whatnot they're kind of ... flirty in a weird way and all over each other and I was in the living room where the party was held last new years and he stayed in the kitchen with her and went on regular fag breaks all night. And apparently they were together last night at boyfriends uncles, which I didn't mind. Didn't think twice about to be honest. But he didn't tell me he had seen his cousin, considering she's only down once every six months or so until she appeared here today.

They asked if I wanted to go to boyfriends uncles with them knowing I would say no, because I've moved into boyfriends parents house today, I'm 5months pregnant and I did a lot of sorting(boyfriend didn't offer to help at all!) and had an interview earlier and I got up very early this morning so if I didn't have a suspicious mind I'd be K.O'ed by now. So he knew I wouldn't walk anywhere. Then his little sister asked to go with them, but they talked her out of it.

Now his mom rang his uncles to ask if Mark was home for tea, apparently they're not there.

His 'friend/cousin/lady' isn't replying to boyfriends brothers texts and uncle wasn't even expecting them tonight...

They're not back yet, they've been gone two hours and he told me to expect him back in half an hour(if he's sticking to his original time when he told me he'd be back)

When they were leaving before they were whispering something or other and I heard her say "sshhhh..."

Is it just me being suspicious or... should I question this?

OMG, they don't know that we know they're not at uncles and she's just text the brother saying they're there.... now lying, I'm confused guys.

Hi there. I am not sure about your partners situation but this does sound a little unusual to me. If there is nothing to hide then why lie? If everything was innocent they would not be hiding what they are truely upto?

As for wether they are actually cousens for most people they would be repulsed by the idea but for others it would be no big deal. For example through the years I have had crushes on some of my own cousens and even hooked up with my second cousen. It didn't bother me but we kept it a secret (which probably made it more exciting I suppose)

Are they in contact in other ways? Do they email/text/phone each other a lot? I hope for you and your babies sake that nothing is going on and I wish you luck and you have my best wishes. If you have access to his phone I would check. I know some people highly frown upon this but maybe this will uncover the truth ?
