Next time he talks to you on your own point out to him that you are not interested in arseholes who call you gay in front of his mates, and see what his reaction is then.Dont put up with being made fun of infront of his mates just in the hope that one day he may like you enough to ask you out. If he stands a real chance with you then he has to stop acting like a little boy.
