I got angry at my mother, so I stormed out of the room offensively. Is this normal?

Last night I got very mad at my mom and yelled at her and called her a bitch. She was listening to me talk about all the losers I've been dating (one was my ex-fiance I dumped a month ago). She just kept saying things like "I told you you shouldn't have dated them but you didn't listen" and then I said that I have learned my lesson, and she just said "I don't believe you because you always say that." I was so fed up, so out of anger I stormed out of the room. Would anyone else get as mad as I did?

TasteofIndia agony auntHey doll,

Sure I would have been frustrated too. Maybe I would've even stormed out... however, I really believe that your Mom is just trying to help you and she just wants the best for you. She probably said what she said because you have a habit of dating losers who aren't good enough for you. Your Mom only wants to see you happy and with someone who treats you RIGHT.

But yeah, I might have gotten a little mad too if I were you. Just try to understand her, cool down a bit and keep rolling through life. Stay strong (and date guys who respect you and treat you well!), sweetness.
