hi

me and my FWB have today decided to stop, and just be friends. ive been feeling for a while that he didnt want to carry on and that something was wrong becuase he was making excuses, so i asked him and he told me he didnt know becuase he doesnt want to lose me and doesnt want to lead me on or give me the wrong vibes. he said that im too much of a great mate to him and he doesnt want to lose me or what we have.

im happy with this becuase he is my best friend, and i love him and dont want to lose him.

i just need help to make sure that i can deal with this as i felt for him more than a FWB

do you have any advice please?

A female reader, Mrs. Mom United States +, writes (12 March 2009):

Mrs. Mom agony auntI think your friend is very mature and is trying to take care of you in the best way he can. The only way to make sure you don't continue to suffer with feelings of love for him is to find someone else. Find someone who's a good love prospect, and lavish those love feelings on that other person. Even if it doesn't work out, it will help to break that bond that is giving you so much trouble, and you'll still have your friend...as a friend.

Good luck!
