Slim is definatly no ugly or bad. If you are a bit underweight for your height and age consider putting on a pound or so....dont do if your friends say it ask your doctor they are reliable. I get my friends all the time nagging me about how skinny I am and putting the tag of being "anorexic" on me which I am not. My doctor was a bit concered when she weight me I was about 98.5 pounds she said she wanted to moniter me incase nothing more serious was going on. Because of my weight she asked me (in confidentality) wat my food routine was, and ended up fine. I have gaind a couple pounds and am still slim and more healthy.

Friends can get jelous espeically in todays society so just try to blow it off this is what I do. They say emam your anorexic you really need to gain weight and I just shrug my shoulders and the convo stops pretty much...sadly many think my too skinny as they can see my back bone...this is because of my scoliosis which is literaly twisting my ribcage causing one part to stick out quite unattractive but i'll live.

As Long as the doctor says your fine you have no need to worry

kat14 agony auntslim is mostly considered a good thing. But yes sometimes if ur rele skinny i personally think it can look abit weird. im size 8/10 but my boyfriend is still skinner than me which is abit weird n i dont exactly find sexy.

He's really bony.

But if your happy with how you are thats fine. If your friends are larger than you they might be jealous or worried about you.

kenny agony auntyou should be proud that you are slim and are not over weight. I woulden't listen to your friends when they tell you to gain weight, it sounds like there could be abit of jealousy going on here.

And no being slim is most certainly not ugly, its more attractive anything, be proud of it.

Good luck x

A reader, anonymous, writes (20 May 2007):

Being slim isn't 'ugly' but being too slim might not be healthy. This depends on how tall you are, how big your bones are, and your current age.

Mind you, genetics decide what we are naturally, but there are always ways around that.

DV1 agony auntYour friends may be jealous of your low weight. They may be trying to get you to gain weight to be on par with where they are. You should never give control of your body weight to another person. If you are slim, you should be proud of it. The only thing that matters is that you've got a decent diet, and get a little bit of sun and exercise. Otherwise, you've got nothing to worry about. Don't listen to them.
