How is this even possible?

A male United States age 41-50, *eadduderc writes:

I just read an article about a young woman who came forward several years after some guy had supposedly forced her to give him a blowjob at a party. She claims that when this alleged assault was over with that most of the semen ended up in her mouth, but that some of it had ended up on her face and in her hair. The report went on to state that they supposedly were able to identify the man with some sort of DNA test. But how would this even be possible? I could have sworn semen was destroyed by saliva inside the mouth and that it was also absorbed into the body over time, so the only thing I can even think of would be the semen that ended up in her hair...but wouldn't that have be gone once she washed her in the shower?

I wanted to thank everyone for their most excellent answers, especially the lady who suggested that I go to that snopes site to see if the story was even true in the first place.

Unless a semen sample was taken at the time of the alleged incident then there is no way that reliable DNA evidence can be lifted from the woman many years later.

In fact, there is simply no way scientific way to prove that the semen found now came from an attack that happened years ago (unless as stated above). Simply because semen doesn't last that long on the body and the woman would have washed, eaten and brushed her teeth since then (and thus destroyed the evidence).

busy04 agony auntThat can't be true! I mean after several years later, the evidence can't be there: she's eaten, drunk & brushed her teeth, washed her face & hair. So that could not be proven. I really doubt it.

Try going to snopes.com and enter the title of the story. It lets you know if it's an urban legend/fabricated story. I highly doubt this is true.

It's a lie!

Is it a real article from a newspaper? Or one of them from an online website?

I don't think that it is possible to trace DNA after several years. Technology has improved but not that much. It's impossible.
