writes:my dad was a drug addict when i was younger. he sniffed crystal meth right in front of me after he promised he would never touch another drug a day in his life. since then he left and i haven't seen him since. yesterday i get a call from him and he wants to see me but i'm still a lil upset. what do i do? should i forgive him? how do i forgive someone who has lied to me so many times?

reader, anonymous, writes (21 December 2008): fathers tend to lie to their children because they dont want to hurt them but doing it in front of you is just bad but you should forgive him and give him more chances after all he is your father and im sure one day you two will be good friends
