writes:im a 13 year old boy. I hav a crush on someone and i am really desperate for a girlfriend. I dont know if she likes me because sometimes shes sending me lots of texts and laughs at my jokes but sometimes she completely ignores me. How do i find out if she likes me and how will i know if my parents will let me have a girlfriend?

Don't be desparate and if you like the girl then ask her out, your parents don't need to know if you don't want them to. A lot of my friends are like you, don't be desparate, as a girl your age i can tell you that we don't like desparate boys...

i don't think desperate is what you should be. i do think she likes you, but is probably afraid of approaching the subject,because she doesn't know how you feel and scared that you will reject her, that's why she ignores you sometimes.As for your parents well, being a mum myself, i think that you should be open and honest. I don't know what your relationship is like with your parents, so i can't really give you advice there, but i'm sure they'll appreciate it if you do tell them. You sound like a real gentleman and i'm sure when you're older you will be any girls dream guy!! don't put too much time into this, you've still got your whole life ahead of you. your main objective right now is to do well in school then take time to worry about girls.

Firstly, I wouldn't get too hung up about getting a girlfriend just enjoy yourself and you'll find yourself one don't force the issue. Secondly, from what you have said it does sound like she is flirting with you, maybe ask how she would feel about going the pictures or something with you, don't mention your like her and don't mention the 'date' word but if she likes you she should say yes. Or, you could get a friend to find out or ask one of her friends.About your parents, I don't know them so it's hard to comment, is there any reason why they wouldn't let you have a girlfriend? You are young, but your growing up and your parents should be expecting this. Try dropping little hints to your mum or something, mention your going to the pictures with this girl, or whatever it is you do and see how she reacts. Introduce the idea slowly or ask them outright.
