HonningKanin agony auntYou know when I was in school I loved the power of turning the tables. It was pretty easy and far to hard to wiggle out of since the other person was using such an easy tactic to downgrade.

If I ever was called a slut by a guy, especially when he was surrounded by his friends, the scenerio ended like this.

"You're a fucking slut!"

"Oh I am, am I? So a slut is someone who has alot of sex and isn't a virgin. Are you trying to say you are still a virgin?"

"No i am not a virgin!"

"Oh so you just dont get alot of sex. I see why you are jealous now." And I walked off.

Usually they would try and come back with a bitch or another one word sentence but by then they knew they were had. By then they know I just could care less and had just imbarresed them. I usually never had any problems with bullying. My advise is that people use these words to try and put you down and if you let them get to you they will. If you come across a guy who has already judged you he was not worth the guy to try and be with in the first place. A real man will always ignore rummors and try and get to know you first.

LazyGuy agony auntSimple, you take them to the vet and they got a special gun that puts the label in their ear.

That way, if they got lost, they can be returned to their rightful owner.

A reader, anonymous, writes (30 October 2009):

The label slut is a sexist term - if a girl sleeps with lots of guys, she is often called a 'slut'. However, if a guy is sleeping with loads of girls, hes a stud or a player, and this is seen as a positive thing. Society dictates that a girl should be ashamed or having lots of sexual partners, while a guy should be congratulated and revered for it by other men - a little hypocritical, no?

I wouldn't take much notice of such terms. We live in the 21st century, and unless a degrogatory term has an equivelent for both genders, it shouldnt be taken seriously.

If she flirts with every male that walks on two legs she could still be determined a slut. Especially if she takes advantage of them in any ways.

well first of all i dont like these labels women get because at the end of the day girls who have sex with a boy, usally that boy is just as sexualy active but nothing is said (well hardley) but to answer you question...yes a girl could be named a 'slut' for giving oral sex,or the way you dress may come across as 'sluty',but at the end of the day i wouldent worry what other people think about you or what they say,as long as you know whats what.

Denizen agony auntPerhaps you are mixing with the wrong crowd. It can be difficult changing your circle of friends. You should be with people who respect you no matter what you do in your private life. It is also worth bearing in mind that men who use phrases like that to bring someone down may be compensating for their own inadequacy.
