How can you tell if a female friend likes you?

A male age 30-35, *teve 88 writes:

me and her are always sitting next to each other in lectures and in seminars. she always playfully hits me, or teases me about something i do or wear and takes my stuff like my hat forcing me to try and get it back. when we were in class the other day she rested her head on my chair and didn't shy away when i touched her hand. however sometimes i think there's like an awkward silence between us when we are alone and when we are she tells me alot about her personal life. shes always checking her nails when we sit together. today i gave her a cartoon i drew of her and me, after she got on the bus i saw her smiling to herself. She is a shy muslim girl if that helps I really just want to know?
