How can I tell my protective parents that I'm dating someone?

hi all

ok so heres the things i met this guy a month ago and weve been dating ever since , and really happy having fun chattting , and socialising , anyway hes told his parents about me and ive met them and the thing is i havnt told my parents yet .

see the thing is two and half years ago i was with a guy and he used to be very abusive to me and with my parents help they got me out of it as i was living him , so there kinda protective of me .

anyway can anyone help me to tell my parents any advice please

blazee agony auntheya, your parents probably have a lot of emotions still about what has happend, this is normal because they love you but at the end of the day it is your life. do what makes you happy. if you really think that this guy is special, tell them about him. im sure if he is as special as you think your parents will see that to.

but if they dont go with what you feel is right ok?

i might be a girl but i can help agony aunti have very protective parents too it can be annoying even tho i love them dearly. just tell them there is no particular way just say i have something important to tell you ............ im seeing someone. yes they are going to be really shocked but if you let them get to know them it will fine, and they may end up liking him. good luck
