How can I help my cousin get over the rat that cheated on her ?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have a cousin who dated her boyfriend for 14 years and then they got married. They had a beautiful little boy and after a year and a half of marriage he cheated on her. They are separated but she cant get over him and has extremely low self esteem even though she is a beautiful successful woman. How can i help her? SOmetimes i want to say the right things yet i have no idea what to say because i havent been in the same situation. I really want to know how to help her get over him.

just being there for her is the help she needs to pull through.

Even though you may not know the right things to say, sometimes there are none and the only thing a person needs is someone to rant to and a shoulder to cry on.

Showing her that you are there shows her she is loved and supported. Tell her that and she will feel less alone.
