How can I convince my parents that he and I are just friends and I should be allowed to go to Hawaii with him?

A female Canada age 26-29, anonymous writes:

This friend invited me to go to Hawaii with him over the summer. I think it will be great, but my parents have always had a sneaking suspicion that we're more than just friends. We're definitely not, but they're very conservative and even the fact that he's of the opposite sex is turning them off of the idea. What can I say to convince them that nothing will happen and that they should let me go?
