writes:hi guys! basically i'm seeing this guy and we spoke today and he told me how he really likes me and he wants to see how things go before we both go off to college in september as we have been friends for a while before.however, i have no problem with that. my problem is that i still think he is hung up on a girl he used to like, who is my friend.basically they were seeing each other (not bf/gf) for about 4 months.. and by this point the guy really liked her and he told me in the middle of april when he was drunk that he loves her. (this was before me and him happened) but now he is insisting that he doesn't although i'm having a hard time believing him.today when i got a text i said 'oh it's from (the girl he was seeing)' and he said 'oh why does she never text me?!?'and i got really annoyed because why would he care if he doesn't like (or love?!?!?) her anymore. and i'm just really worried about getting into a messy situation and always feeling insecure about it, because things didn't work out with them because she called an end to it. and he still liked her. so what should i do? i really like the guy :(

From what I am reading, he still likes/loves her. There is no question about that ...especialy after the text message.
You will always be insecure in that relationship because you know he has feelings for someone else.
What's the point in being in a relationship if the guy you are dating has feelings for someone else?
Move on chick. This isn't going anywhere good.
