He told me that he liked me, then started ignoring me?

Question - (1 May 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 May 2012)
A female United Kingdom age 22-25, anonymous writes:

I became friends with a boy in my year at school. He was so lovely and sweet to me. Every time he was me he would give me a hug, make sure I was okay and always called me 'his'. I think I was making it obvious but I wasn't sure if he knew that I liked him. We used to text all the time, sit next to each other in lessons and he always managed to cheer me up. We were texting one night and he told me that he fancied me, still the next day everything was normal but then like a week later he started ignoring me. I have no idea why. This all happened in February. Since then we have started talking a little bit more again but we never give each other a hug, we never text and we only talk in Science. I don't know why he suddenly stopped talking to me but I want my friend back.. Yeah, I still like him but I just want my mate back. So I guess I have two questions...:

1.) Why did he suddenly stop talking to me?

2.) How can I start talking to him more?

Please Help :(

He found someone else or something you did unintentionally or said turned him off. Maybe something about you made you unapealing all of the sudden.
