writes: hiyawhat do you think it means if a guy you are seeing calls himself "single" on a internet profile thing eg facebook/myspace. He has been on it recently but has not updated his relationship status though lots of people know he is seeing someone/in a relationship.

 It could be that he is in a new relationship and doesnt feel ready to commit to it and say he is in a relationship.
He might not even realise he hasnt changed it.

 You are single until you are married. Dating doesn't mean anything because it isnt built on any kind of foundation. Ask your man to change his status on his myspace page. If he doesn't OH WELL. You two are still in a relationship just make sure it is exclusive by telling him it will be so.

 Maybe it has not even crossed his mind to change it yet, if you have only been together a short time he might have decided not to count his chickens yet, like you have said lots of people know that you are seeing each other so he is not trying to hide that fact.

 How long exactly have you been going out with him? Just because he is dating you, does not mean he is exclusive yet, UNLESS exclusivity has been promised. At which point, it is an issue.

Hey,
When I was going out with my ex I didnt bother changing my facebook or myspace profile to 'in a relationship'. I would'nt read too much into this, i still deeply cared about her and would have never cheated. I guess I just didnt want to announce it to everyone, I'll tell my friends when I meet them face to face.
I think girls pay more attention to this than some boys, my ex dumped me out of the blue and the vey same night she changed her status to 'single' !!??
