writes:i am nearly 8 months pregnant and i love my partner he has asked me to marry him i said yes but im scared i wont lose the baby weight, i've always had an issue with my weight but now its even worse, im 21 but cant go to the gym as i had major spinal surgery a few years ago.b4 i got pregnant my jeans were a size 10/12 and my tops were 12. now my jeans are a 12 and tops are 14/16, i dont want my partner to leave me if i stay fat, he is so sure i'll lose it!please help. x Reply to this Question

oh my god i had this problem! my daughter is now 7 months and im slimmer than b4. ive always weighd 11 stone but i went up to 15 stone! i cried every day and ruined the happiness of being pregnant. u naturally slim down as a lot is water retention so stop stressing u will be fine hun x if u wana talk private message me

 You have nothing to worry about, a size 14 is not fat. Your main concern should be your health and your babys health. Any man who leaves his wife b/c she is fat didn't deserve her anyhow. If he really loves you it will be under any circumstances. Whether you are fat or skinny, sick or healthy and so on. When I had my son I gained a few pounds and I was too busy to go to the gym. So in the evening I would take the baby out for walks in his stroller. It was my way of clearing my head and exercising , and he enjoyed the walks too. He is 6 years old now, and we walk together just like back when he was an infant , and sometimes we ride our bikes at the park. But my focus when I excersise is to be healthy, not losing weight. reader, anonymous, writes (13 September 2007): size 12 is not fat! you're crazy.. anyways I had a baby 5 months ago, I gained 45 lbs. with the baby, in about 3 months I had lost it all but 10 pounds, and then I got pregnant again. Im 3 months pregnant, and I haven't put on any more weight yet. Honey, in the last 2-3 months of pregnancy, there is nothing you can do, your body is storing all the food you take in to put a much needed fat layer under your baby's skin. Just watch what you eat, stay away from ice cream, whole milk, sweets, junk food, fried foods, pop, etc. Eat fruits, whole grains, veggies, skim milk, juices, lean meants, etc. & you'll be fine. My 1st pregnancy I over did it with junk food. This time I'm taking it easier. I don't work now & am not active. But I still lost most of my baby weight & probably would have lost it all had I not gotten pregnant again so soon. Your man asked you to be his wife, doesn't that say it? Or has he been harassing you about weight? Since you're concerned about taking the weight off, Im sure you will. It will take about 3-4 months at least, so do not be impatient like I was. I weighed myself every day expecting the weight to just magically fall off. Also if you plan on breastfeeding, you'll lose it faster.

Beyonce is a size 14 and she looks fine. and as for your boyfriend not wanting to stay with you if your fat: he must be in love with you as he asked you to marry him and your having a baby together. i wouldn't worry.

Firstly, you have no issue with your weight, you sound a perfectly healthy size, and when i am was pregnant, i put on 3 stone, of which, 4 n a half months on, i have lost 2.
You may not ever loose all of your weight, however if your B/F loves you, wieght will not be an issue!
You'll be fine sweety!
